TRADITIONAL ARTS FAIR
SUNDAY 25TH NOVEMBER 2018

Buda's annual Traditional Arts Fair is coming to Castlemaine on Sunday 25th November for 2nd time, showcasing traditional arts, cooking and gardening in as many and varied forms as possible, in the spirit of the Leviny daughters.
Hilda Leviny, the youngest of the Leviny women who lived at 42 Hunter St Castlemaine until she died in 1981, held a fundraising event every year at Buda Historic Home and Garden around this time and in her legacy we’re opening the doors of Buda for this exciting open day.
SKILLS ON SHOW Patchwork, spinning, weaving, knitting, lacemaking, etching, quiltmaking, emboidery, fishing rods, pickling, metalwork, knitting pattern making, handmade body products, lacemakers, weaving, etching, and much more! MAKE A DAY OF IT! Craft beer, Handmade Icecream, Coffee, Buda special gourmet BBQ, Devonshire teas, Light lunches, music and children's activities. PLUS See demonstrations by many local crafting organizations including Goldfield Quilters, Embroiderers Guild Victoria - Castlemaine branch,the Odd Sock sock making and also many local individuals and businesses selling their wares and showing us their special skills. Vintage craft equipment for sale.
Whilst here, you will be able to take a “behind the scenes” tour of the house. These will have a focus on specialised fields and be with one of Buda’s special tour guides.
To make the most of it all we will also have Buda stall of produce as well as a tea room to cater along with a BBQ.
Shedshaker Brewery will provide on tap beer on this occasion as well as local wines.
