PATCHWORK TO PICKLES
CASTLEMAINE TRADITIONAL ARTS FAIR
SUNDAY 26TH NOVEMBER
10AM - 4PM

The inaugural Castlemaine Traditional Arts Fair will be at Buda Historic Home and Garden on Sunday 26th November.

TRADITIONAL ARTS
Makers and thinkers this day is for you! Designed to showcase and celebrate traditional arts, there will be demonstrations of weaving and spinning, lacemaking, embroidery, cooking, printmaking, and much more.  If you appreciate music and movement there will be Hungarian dancing and local bands and performers on the music stage.

If you have a hankering to learn about traditional arts and crafts of old there will be continuous demonstrations and exhibitions with stall holders selling their crafted wares - from patchwork to pickles!

GARDENING
For the garden lovers, expert gardener Jill Hildebrandt will be available for advice and plant sales in the wonderful Buda Nursery, together with exhibitions and demonstrations of bonsai, floristry and indigenous plant propagation by local expert Frances Cincotta of Newstead Natives.

SPECIAL HOUSE TOURS
Lauretta Zilles, curator of the historic house, will offer three different “Buda Unlocked Tours” throughout the day: Buda Art Collection, Creative Life of the Leviny Family and Stories of Leviny Family Life. Tickets to these tours will be available for presale before the fair. Stay tuned for details.

CHILDREN'S TRADITIONAL GAMES
There will be traditional children's activities including a fairy garden in Buda's beautiful environs. There is plenty of open space for families to relax in the Buda native parkland area under shady trees!

FOOD & MUSIC
